What Is Organic Chamomile Extract?

Екстракт от органична лайка is a concentrated botanical substance obtained from the flower heads of Matricaria chamomilla (German Chamomile). Made with water, organic ethanol, or supercritical CO₂, and no synthetic solvents, it preserves delicate bioactive chemicals.

The main active compound is Apigenin (standardised to 0.5%-98%) and also α-Bisabolol and Chamazulene. These chemicals have anti-inflammatory, skin soothing and calming qualities, making chamomile extract a favourite active ingredient across numerous industries.

A: 10:1 ratio indicates 10kg of flower to 1kg of extract - it is a measure of concentration, not potency. A standardised extract (e.g., 1.2% Apigenin) provides a certain active level, verified by HPLC, which is required for efficacy claims.

Q2: Can the extract be used in serum compositions as it is oil soluble?

A: The regular spray-dried powder is water soluble. There is also a CO2 extracted oil soluble grade for oil phase applications, which nevertheless contains significant Bisabolol concentration. You need an emulsifier when using water soluble powder in oil.

Q3: In what way should the powder be stored to avoid caking?

A: The powder is hygroscopic. Keep in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area below 60% relative humidity. The drums from Hongda are lined with double-layer PE and loaded with silica desiccant to ensure the integrity of the products during travel and storage.
