Екстракт от див кестен на прах is a botanical extract from the seeds of Aesculus hippocastanum L., standardised mainly for its triterpenoid saponin content, Aescin (sometimes spelt Escin).

The main active ingredient is escin. It acts by strengthening capillary walls, lowering fluid leakage and normalising membrane permeability. These activities make it a highly studied substance for management of Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI), post-operative oedema and haemorrhoids.
